Talia Project

The Talia Project in South Australia will restore 688 ha of degraded land, focusing on critically endangered Drooping Sheoak Woodland. Using FullCAM 2024 methodology, it enhances biodiversity, strengthens habitat corridors, and engages Wirangu and Nauo Traditional Owners through cultural knowledge, employment, and land management practices.

The project has been developed in partnership with global restoration company Land Life and Cassinia Environmental, who bring strong expertise in large-scale ecological restoration and carbon projects. Project Talia is expected to generate Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) under the Clean Energy Regulator’s national ACCU scheme, ensuring transparency, credibility, and measurable environmental impact.

Restoration of endangered woodland

Revives Drooping Sheoak Grassy Woodland, restoring ecological structure and function in one of Australia’s most vulnerable landscapes.

Carbon capture & climate resilience

Native reforestation and soil regeneration will sequester ~114,000 tonnes of CO₂, strengthening long-term climate resilience.

Biodiversity

By restoring degraded land adjacent to Kulliparu Conservation Park, the project reconnects fragmented habitats and supports ecological corridors vital for species movement and survival.

Territory transformation

The project engages Wirangu and Nauo communities, honoring their cultural connection to the land while fostering knowledge exchange. It creates opportunities for local employment and participation in restoration, strengthening community ties and ensuring ecological recovery guided by traditional wisdom.
