Visualisations
These visualisations are photomontages based on real photos taken in the locations indicated, with images of the proposed turbines and offshore substations added to them to give the viewer an idea of how the Aurora Green project might look on a clear day once constructed. The visualisations cannot show exactly how Aurora Green will look, due to image resolution, and variable lighting, weather and seasonal conditions. However, they provide a realistic idea as to the scale of the turbines and substations, and their distance from the land. They are best viewed printed and at arm's length, and in the viewpoint location shown, rather than on a screen.
The photomontages:
- Provide an indicative view only, based on preliminary layout. They are subject to change pending approvals and final design (the number of turbines, height and layout have not yet been finalised).
- Assume a current maximum possible turbine height of 350 metres, above our predicted turbine height range of between 260 to 340 metres.
- Assume the construction of 150 turbines and three offshore substations across three phases of approximately 1GW capacity per phase.
